As a first time candidate I offer the experience and professionalism which is needed in Knox County.  The property assessor calculates the figure of the major source of revenue for our county.  I have worked in the field in all counties of the State of Tennessee, and on day one will be ready to perform the duties of the office. I will continue to work with the Tax Freeze program, making the property assessor’s office easily assessable to all citizens of Knox County including the elderly, disabled and veterans, and assist and support the state funded Tax relief program. Under no circumstances will I abandon the needs of the citizens of Knox County, I will be an assessor for the people of Knox County, and will be accessible at all times, eager to listen and grow with Knox County. I will earn the trust of the citizens of Knox County, and do my part in restoring the faith in our government.

1. As a Knox County resident, and an experienced REALTOR, I have found numerous discrepancies in the assessment of property.  If the assessments were accurate taxpayers would pay a true tax figure, which would resolve the need for a tax increase.
   
   

2. The citizens of Knox County need a restoration of faith in our local government. New experienced leadership is certainly a step forward in the right direction. As an experienced state licensed REALTOR with extensive field experience, I would on day one be able to perform the duties as the Property Assessor proficiently.  I would evaluate the current office staff, and begin the process of certifying all field assessors as licensed appraisers. This would insure that all property was accurately assessed by the guidelines set forth by the State of Tennessee.
   
   

3. I firmly believe that the voters in Knox County will intelligently rectify the situation of removal of the political machine office holders. The newly elected officials will carry out the wishes of the voters and the NO MORE DEALS attitude will prevail.  Our citizens will make the first step for a change in leadership, and our elected officials answer to the citizens, realizing a New Government for the people,

   With new faces and professionalism. The elected officials will earn trust and once again work for the citizens of Knox County.
