Reasons to Vote for Jimmie...

Vietnam Veteran

I enlisted in The United States Navy in 1965 to follow in the footsteps of my father.

While in the service I then volunteered for Vietnam to replace one sailor who was married with children, so that he may come home to his family.

One of my orders was being the Captain of a Gunboat in Vietnam

I was responsible for the lives of other service personnel

As their leader, I had to make hard and fast decisions

As a Vietnam Veteran, I would like to get a VA Hospital in this area

Work ethics

I am a retired small business owner- which gives me experience in finances.

I own Shelton Enterprise

I have been trained to operate and supervise operations of a multitude of heavy equipment.

In 1992 I volunteered to do demolition and clean up work after Hurricane Andrew.

I am proud of the Letters of Appreciation that I have received for my assistants in hurricane damages in 1993 from:

A. Terry Brandstad- Governor of Iowa

B. Michael M. Cline- Assistant Deputy Coordinator of Operations of The Common Wealth of Virginia

And

C. James B. Hunt Jr.- Governor of North Carolina

6. With numerous construction jobs that I have completed over the past years I have extensive experience in determining property development needs for zoning codes which is needed in the 6th district and the rest of the county.

7. I am also the owner of Shelton Wholesale- which I am honored to be listed in “The Whose Who in Washington DC” for

25 years of service

Volunteer for the community

Several years ago there was an advertisement on the TV for volunteers who had 4 wheel drive vehicles to help deliver meals. I immediately called and volunteered for Meals on wheels. And I now deliver for Meals on Wheels in the winter time when the weather is bad and their paid employees can‘t make the trips. Back when I started I even met Mayor Mike Ragsdale there. Meals on wheels is a community service that assist people who are shut in. and have no other means of getting food.

I have put 2 children thru the Knox County School System I also have 1 grandchild in the system now . And I have one grandchild and 2 great grandchildren that will be in the system in the near future.

A. Congressman John Duncan

B. Mayor Mike Ragsdale

C. Mike Lowe

D. Mike Padgett

E. Mike Gordon of Karns Republican Party

And

F. Mr. Lynnus Gill of Powell

2. I was defeated by a mere 1% margin in 2002 against Mark Cawood - whose term limit had already expired but was enforced by the Rule of Law until now.

In closing

I would like the opportunity to continue the growth of the 6 th district with my many years of experience in leadership, problem solving, land development, finances, and the needs of our county

If elected I will put honesty and integrity back into politics.
